Tamarri’s Inshore Grand Slam
On August 13, 2024, William Tamarri experienced an unforgettable day on the flats of Isla Blanca, Mexico. Fishing the lush mangroves, he started by landing a stunning snook and followed it up with an acrobatic tarpon, both on baitfish imitation flies. But his day wasn’t over. In a final feat of skill, he managed to entice a wary permit with a perfectly placed crab fly, completing the ultimate angler’s trifecta. With snook, tarpon, and permit under his belt in a single day, William secured the prestigious IGFA Inshore Grand Slam on fly—a rare accomplishment for any saltwater fly angler. His epic day on the water is sure to be a memory he'll treasure for a lifetime.
